Q. What is the General Fund?
A. The General Fund provides support for important annual projects such as the
winter clothing project and our sleeping bag project:
Winter Clothing Project
The Global Peace Foundation collected over 1,000 pounds of excellent condition clothing in 1998, 1999, 2000, and collected over 2,000 pounds in 2001 to ship air cargo to India. There it was received and distributed by a Tibetan-run Foundation to refugee children and the elderly.
Warm winter clothing is virtually unattainable for refugees in northern India.
We are currently seeking monetary donations to assist with air cargo shipment expenses to India for our 2002 Clothing Project. If you can help, please contact us immediately by phone or e-mail.
